From the start it is evident that Gifty Singh is ready to try and shake any cobwebs that have appearing on the R&B scene lately. The talented Toronto based rnb soul artist is making beautiful music for the soul without compromising the musicality of the genre. The way the EP changes musical direction on more than one occasion is fresh and applauded. It is one of those rare finds where you dare not pick up random songs on iTunes from the EP in the fear you may miss a sparkling gem.
Such is his presence I would be happy to proclaim that Gifty Singh is on par with the debut release from Alicia Keys. The way the music takes over you is the same way I felt when I first heard Miss Keys. The standout tracks are Lost in translation and Morphine. However, the EP is a beautiful journey from start to finish.
